OVERVIEW
JOINT WORKSHOP ON FISCAL FEDERALISM
On May 10 and 11, 2018, a two-day Joint Workshop on Fiscal Federalism, Public, Regional and Urban Economics will be held at the Campus II of the Catholic University of Brasília – SGAN 916, Av. W5 Norte, Brasília DF, Brazil. The workshop is co-organized by the University of Alberta (U of A, Canada), the Catholic University of Brasilia (UCB) and University of Brasilia (UnB).
In light of recent developments in federations worldwide, particularly what seems a growing wave of political, social and economic tensions at sub-central government levels, the main motivation for this workshop is to attract a select number of high-quality submissions that will enable both presenters and the audience to discuss relevant issues and attempt to advance sound policy recommendations. The workshop will feature a mix of keynote speeches, paper sessions and roundtables.
We look forward to meeting you in Brasília in 2018.
Emilson Silva
